These terms apply to your use of freeconvertor.tech ("FreeConvertor", "the site"), which is owned and operated by freeconvertor.tech ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
FreeConvertor provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF and image files, together with guides and other information. The tools run on your device; we do not receive or store the files you process. We may change, add or remove tools and features at any time, and we do not guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free.
2. Who may use the site
You may use the site for personal and commercial purposes free of charge. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that organization.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- process files you do not have the right to use, or use the tools to infringe copyright or other rights;
- use the tools to remove passwords or other protection from documents you are not authorized to open;
- use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use automated means that place an unreasonable load on it;
- click on advertisements artificially or encourage others to do so.
4. Your files and outputs
You keep all rights to the files you process and to the outputs you create. Because processing happens in your browser, we have no access to your files and cannot recover them for you. Keep copies of your originals.
5. Our content
The site's design, text, guides, illustrations and logo belong to FreeConvertor and may not be copied or republished without permission, except for short quotations with a link back to the source. The tools use open-source libraries, including pdf-lib, @cantoo/pdf-lib, pdf.js and JSZip, which remain subject to their own licences.
6. Advertising and third-party links
The site may display advertisements provided by third parties such as Google, and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or linked sites.
7. No warranty
The tools and content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Browser-based processing depends on your device and browser, and results can vary. Always check outputs — page count, order, orientation, legibility and passwords — before you rely on them. See the disclaimer for specific limitations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeConvertor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the site or its outputs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
