Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies used on freeconvertor.tech and explains how to control them. It complements our privacy policy.
Cookies we use
FreeConvertor does not set its own tracking cookies, and the tools do not need cookies to work. The cookies below are set by Google services that we use for visitor statistics and, when shown, advertising. Names and durations are set by Google and may change.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so visits can be counted in aggregated reports. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit (session) for analytics reports. | 2 years |
| __gads, __gpi | Google AdSense | Used when ads are shown: limits how often you see the same ad and measures ad performance. | Up to 13 months |
| IDE, NID and similar | Google advertising (set on Google domains) | Used for ad personalization, fraud prevention and measurement when ads are shown. | Up to 13 months |
| FCCDCF, FCNEC | Google consent message | Stores your consent choices when a consent message is shown (EEA, UK, Switzerland). | Up to 13 months |
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
For these regions our site uses Google Consent Mode with analytics and advertising storage switched off by default. Google Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you agree to them in a consent message. Without consent, Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed) which are not used to identify you.
Other browser storage
Your browser may also cache files such as the page code, fonts and the PDF rendering library so that pages load faster on your next visit. This is ordinary browser caching, not tracking, and it never includes the files you process.
How to control cookies
- Change your choices in the consent message, where shown.
- Opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings, or of many advertising vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). The tools will continue to work.
